Second Week of Advent

Everything is Holy

Nothing is insignificant or dull - everything can be sanctified, just as goats and sheep, fish and wheat, grapes and eyes of needles were given dignity as parables of the kingdom of God.  Things the worldly wise would trample under foot become as precious to saints as pearls, fo they see

"sermons in stones, and good in everything. " (William Shakespeare, As You Like it, Act II)

"See, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious; and whoever believes in him

will not be put to shame."

1 Peter 2:6
